可夜 (Kaya) 1988年～
2015年よりガラス作家として活動を始め、愛猫をモチーフにした作品で独自の物語と世界を紡ぎ出す。
砂彫刻を基軸に、宙吹きや切子技法を融合させ、繊細かつ現代的な表現を追求する。
日本の美意識と動植物への敬意をガラスに込め、エミール・ガレのような深い感性を目指す。
代表作「猫切子®」は、TV番組や各種メディアで注目を集め、
2017年おみやげグランプリ「クールジャパン賞」を受賞。
東京亀戸にアトリエを構え、特別販売会を開催。
その傍ら、全国の百貨店での個展やイベントを通じて作品を精力的に発表し続けている。
近年は猫に加え、犬や小鳥など幅広い動物をテーマに創作を展開する。
KAYA GLASS is a brand of Moro Kaya, glass artist in Japan.
Moro Kaya (1988-) has started working as a glass artist since 2015.
The work of arts inspired by his beloved cat weave his own
unique story and the world.
It pursues a subtlety and modern expression by combining techniques
called “free-blowing” and cut glass, based on sand sculpture.
He shows respect the sense of Japanese beauty and plants and animals
into the glass of arts.
He also has the ambition to be an artist like Emile Galle who has a great sensibility.
The masterpiece called Neko-Kiriko received the
COOL JAPAN AWARD of “Japanese Souvenir Grand-Prix 2017” and drew a lot of media attention.
He has an atelier in Kameido, Tokyo and hold an exhibition and sale.
Additionally, he spread the attractions of his work energetically
through solo exhibition and sales at an department store in all areas of Japan.
In addition to motif of cats, he create and expand the work of glass arts motif of dogs, birds and many kinds of animals as well in recent years.
