【Sashiko Embroidery Series】
Embroidery (Sashiko) is a traditional technique that originated in the Edo period in Japan. It refers to embroidering geometric figures on blue fabric with white cotton threads, such as Qinghai ripples, hemp leaf patterns, houndstooth patterns, and arrows. Feather patterns, etc., have always been popular for their varied and simple and elegant styles.
The shop owner often wonders whether this traditional fabric technique can be applied to leather, so he started to research, so this thorn embroidery series appeared! I hope you will like it :)
[About the design]
I remember that people on the streets used to distribute free tissue paper from time to time. It is the handkerchief style, the material is soft and thin, the packaging bag is folded in half, and the tissue is drawn from the middle, which feels more advanced . But I don't know when this paper towel has appeared in Hong Kong. So when I traveled to Japan, I saw that they were using this tissue, which is very nostalgic! (But I heard that Japanese people come to Hong Kong to buy Tempo as souvenirs!?)
This card sleeve is based on the tissue bag of the year, and then borrowed from the elegant girdle that is common in Japanese product packaging, so I designed this card sleeve. A minimalist card holder that folds in half.
